struggling to figure it all out

so, this has been how i've felt the last couple of weeks.

In July I got a new macbook and we (Jimmy) finally transfered all of my PC stuff onto it about 2 weeks ago so I've been fully Mac'd since then.
The transition hasn't been as easy as I had hoped.
Things aren't as intuitive as I had hoped.
Viewing and editing my photos hasn't been as easy as I had hoped.
Therefore, blogging hasn't been as easy as I had hoped.
Part of my frustration is that supposedly, mac is much easier to use and more intuitive. Like my MIL, she got a mac for Christmas last year and seriously? within minutes she was like, this is freakin' awesome and was all click-click-click ba-da-bing ba-da-boom. Me? I'm like bog-bog-bog what the??
Jimmy's been kind to my ego by saying that since I was such a skilled user on the PC, my adjustment period will be longer because of my old habits. And now I have to learn. What? Learn, are you kidding me?

What I have been having fun with is a program called Photobooth that uses the camera in the computer and that's how i took that silly self-portrait. Which is about a week old - yesterday I chopped of my hair and got it colored (for the first time in 11 years). The jury's still out on if it's a good thing or not.
On a brighter note, I leave you with a pretty hydrangea from my MIL's garden.

I began my computer career on Macs, so I hold a soft spot for them and I feel certain that Jimmy is right. You were just toooooo good on the pc. Give it time.

Gina of eclectic-defined got a mac...I haven't heard anything so that might not be a good sign. I am a computer dummy so I wouldn't know. I love your hair! the cut and coloring is really nice. I sometimes wish i hadn't let mine go grey...but it is less hassle and no skunk line!

You look younger with the new do. I'm still in shock since you idea of dying your hair has always been a very deep red; only noticable by the natural sun light. Post some more do pictures...I need to see the whole thing. You cut the photo off at the bottom so I have no clue what the full results look like. I'm glad you posted a picture since I was so very curious as to the results.

I'm about the 3rd grade with my mac skills. I ping-pong between the mac and pc when I blogged since I hated using html to do anything cool to my posts.

Though, I LOVE the mac...

I've never used a Mac, in fact never even seen someone else use a Mac. So don't come to me for advice, OK?
Hair looks good. I like the light bits. I've never coloured my hair.... it's a kind of carrotty red, fading a bit with age, but still definitely red! And red hair doesn't seem to go grey, it just gets blonder.... :-)

I don't have a clue about Mac, Mad, and know I would be just like you. My web-designer nephews swear by it. But I'm quite sure I would be like you.

In the meantime, you've come up with some very fancy shots! Does your haircut make you look...younger??

I'm not a Mac user and the few times I've used one, I found it difficult - probably because I've been a faithful PC user for years. Hope it gets easier for you!

Your hair looks terrific!

i've used a mac for years and often in conjunction with a pc. i prefer the mac but you know, it's really all just about the learning the tricks and not being afraid. you know full well that it takes a lot to actually do damage to a computer so i say just tinker until you get the hang of it. and if you have any questions, i'd be happy to try to answer.

also, get illustrator, as an artist, i am quite sure you will find it entertaining.
