A Christmas Miracle

I'm just about finished with all my Christmas shopping. I only have one person to buy for. The toughest of course: the husband. Maybe I'll get him a Paint like Bob Ross Kit.

But the hardest part is still to come. Wrapping and shipping said gifts. Hanukkah starts Tuesday so I'm under that deadline, but I still have 26 days before Christmas. And I'm really good at procrastinating.

Despite my shopping nirvana, I have yet to be filled with the Christmas spirit. It doesn't feel like Christmas. Maybe because in the past week, 6 out of 7 days have been sunny. Or maybe because it's not even December yet. But I think that since I won't be fighting crowds at the mall or Target, I'll enjoy the festivities more. I did catch myself singing "Donde esta Santa Claus" the other night. :)

Yes, we are back from our lovely month in Florida, thank you for sticking with my blog when I didn't have internet access to check up on everyone's blogs. We had a lovely time, I really needed that holiday. But I have come home to cold Canadian snow, and I'd like to sccot off back to the beach and the palm trees RIGHT NOW!
Ans as for Christmas shopping, I haven't even thought of it. It was so weird in Florida to hear christmas music and see decorations, and it was sunny and I was wearing summer clothes, it just didn't seem right, Christmas should be cold and snowy.... although, come to think of it... it's not such a bad idea to have Christmas in the summer....

Hahah, more Florida pics will be posted in the next few days.

I'm very nearly done as well and as good as it feels, that doesn't mean I have been smacked with the holiday spirit either. I think that comes in time. . . and maybe a little chill in the air, right?

And I think the fact you're singing "Donde Esta Santa Claus" is a great indication you are on your way.

Not doing much Christmas shopping this year. Just a few little things in a Christmas Stocking for all my loveys, and then some money as after the wedding we are all shopped out.

Thank you for the most lovely comment....you made me cry but in a good way. You probably echoed what my children think and feel....but hopefully they won't have regrets. I am about as far away from feeling Christmasy as I can get. Not having family and happy voices around makes me sad at this time of year. Steve and I have made a promise to be with our kids on either T/giving or Christmas every year starting in
'08 . I will start working on the meme and post it when I get home.
